Multimedia University basketball boy thrashed the stubborn Friends of Basketball 48-22 over the weekend to keep their dream for the title on course.
It was all system go as MMU boys put up impenetrable stopper to contain the FoB firing squad that was there to seize any single opportunity from the boys to get the baskets.
Ray Nyatome and Allan Wataro both the play makers of the team had a double digits a move that saw FoB being thwarted out.
However the ladies basketball team failed to register a win and lost to Strathmore University 33-11 despite putting up a spirited fight.
The MMU basketball coach Graffin Ligare lauded his team especially the boys for the good performance adding that the win was a big boost to the team.
“The boys played well and that is commendable, they only need to continue with that winning mentality for us to reach the play-offs.
He noted that they had identified their mistakes where both the boys and girls will need to train on sharpening their finishing methods.
Ligari says that also to be work on is the use of non offensive pattern in both boys and girls adding that the girls made so many mistakes in offensive, turning the ball overall a move that gave their opponents easy baskets.
The boys who have won four matches out of six in the ongoing Nairobi Basketball Association League are set to maintain their winning spirit when they meet JKUAT men on 27th this month.
Ladies will also be looking forward to revive themselves when they take on JKUAT ladies on the same date.
