MMU set to partner further with Samsung General Manager of Samsung, Mr. Allan Oyier (Left) with President and CEO of Network for Development of Youths - Texas, USA, Mr. Raphael Atore (Centre) and MMU' s Principal, Prof. Walter O. Oyawa (Right) during a courtesy call to the Principal's office.

The Directorate of Industrial Linkages in MMU hosted East Africa’s General Manager of Samsung Mr. Allan Oyier and USA’s Youth President of Network for Development in Texas Mr. Raphael Atore.

MMU is a beneficiary of support from Samsung having been enlisted into the latter’s apprenticeship programme. Already 25 of our Telecommunication Engineering students have been selected and are part of Samsung’s Academy Pioneer Class.

Samsung is also looking forward to establishing serious linkages with MMU in specific areas such as inducting students in camera techniques.

In his remarks the GM Samsung (East Africa) Mr. Oyier appreciated the existing cordial relationship between MMU and Samsung.

While on the other hand, Mr. Raphael Atore requested MMU to adopt the American approach of accepting donor support. They are willing to donate equipments as they have recently donated to Ukraine and Madagascar.

This has come soon after the Korean Government in partnership with the Kenyan Government, has equipped, in MMU, an Information Access Center, dubbed the Kenya Korea Information Access Center.

In future, MMU hopes to see Samsung establish a Centre within our premises which will further enhance our partnership.
