Welcome to MMU environment, an institution of higher learning exclusively located in the outer suburb of Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. The secluded Mbagathi Campus offers an excellent conducive academic and seminar environment, as it is free from the busy city hustles. Our vision is to become a world-class center of excellence in human resource development in the communications sector.

Whether seeking pure academic advancement, vocational training, conference, seminar, or workshop involvement, MMU is the venue and the answer to your varied needs. Our mission is to provide a center of excellence in human resource development through training, research, consultancy and value added services in the communications industry. The College appreciates the role of communication in human resource development and endeavors to respond to meet the needs of individuals and companies in their venture to improve the economy both nationally and internationally.

MMU, a former KCCT was founded in 1992. Formerly the Central Training School serving only the training needs of East African Community from 1948 to 1991. The College now boasts international market share, serving clients from all walks of life.

MMU is Kenya’s premier institute of higher learning in telecommunication engineering, human resource management, postal and courier services. As the giant trainer in telecommunication in the East African region, its clients come from all over Africa and beyond. MMU has a long working relationship with international and national organizations such as PAPU, UPU, ITU, JICA, ESAMI, INTELSAT, KIM and CCCA.

Its students' number varies from time to time and can reach a peak of 15,000 at one given time. The College does not go to full recess due to the nature of clients and their varied needs which demands the service throughout the year. However, the staff holiday and other breaks are taken as scheduled for each department.

Away from the city hustles

MMU main Campus is situated 16 kilometre South of the Capital City Nairobi on Magadi Road, off Langata Road, about 20 minutes straight drive from the City Centre at non-traffic period. It borders Nairobi Game Park on the left across the road at Gate B, as you drive from Langata Road to approach On’gata Rongai. Two minutes as you approach the Campus, you will be treated to a natural environment beauty that usher you to the College on the right and the game park on the left. Looking straight ahead and before descending down the hill, more beauty awakens your desire for the destination.
