A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

The Principal of Multimedia University College of Kenya (MMU) Prof. James A. Kulubi, wishes to extend his Best Wishes to ALL the students who start their exams today.

The Principal has called on the students to exercise examination discipline and avoid falling into the wrong arm of the law governing the exams.

EXAM WEEK

Media students start their end Semester exams today before going for a one Month Holiday.

The exams  which begin today will end on 29Th May 2009. Students are being urged to take the exams seriously to sharpen their knowledge and skills. 

The Dean of FAMECO have strongly warned on cheating during the exams, adding that those found will be suspended for two years.

 

FACULTY OF BUSINESS

The Faculty has introduced a new course, International Diploma in Business. The course which takes one year is examined by NCC will begin in July this year.

Interested students are being requested to seek for more information from the Marketing Department.

Multimedia University Students will be given priority.  

THE UGLY BEAUTIES


A warthog dislocated its leg and injured its face on Tuesday last week after jumping from the first floor in Block
 
The warthog met her injury when it was confronted by a lady coming from her room.

The animal felt cornered by the lady and opted to jump through the opening and fell at the entrance of the Hostel.

The KWS guards took away the injured warthog to unknown destination.

ADMISSIONS OFFICE

The admissions office is advising students coming back next semester to always pay the fee as indicated in their letters and fees structure.

No refund will be given for the money paid in excess. Students are therefore kindly requested to observe this directive so as to avoid agitation from the Finance and Admission Departments.

FACULTY OF IT


30 students from the Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) jetted in last week to start their training in Information Technology.

The GOSS sent the students to acquire knowledge in Information Technology and its related courses.

The Sudanese students will be at the university for four months.

Multimedia University, the only of its kind in Africa is gaining popularity across the continent.

FACULTY OF MEDIA

The Dean has given a directive that those students who want to defer MUST write a letter for Deferment otherwise they will loose all the money paid.

The Dean will meet First Year Second Semester students on attachment issues this Thursday after the morning paper . All the students in this category are requested to attend the meeting in the Exam room without fail.

Third year Media students will also meet the Dean during the week before they are cleared.

JOURNALISM CLUB

The Journalism Club wishes to invite all the members for an official Launch of their Constitution, Oracle, Monthly Eye and the Weeklyspot.

The function will be graced by the Principal alongside Mr. Mutwiri and NMG Parliamentary Editor Owino Opondo at Kiserian Eureka Restaurant on 23rd May 2009 starting at 11am.
