MMU signs a performance contract

After a successful completion of negotiation and vetting of the University contract, MMU council chair Hon. Mutahi Kagwe today led the University management in signing of a performance contract for the period 2012/2013, the University College is expected to implement all the agreed targets as per the 2012-13 performance contract guidelines.

 

The signing of the contract was done between the Council Chairman and the Principal, Prof. Walter.O.Oyawa. During the meeting to sign the contract, Hon. Mutahi Kagwi stated the importance of the performance contract as it helps to show focus and give directions to employees and helps in showing the progress that they make. The Principal; also added that the office of performance contracting has been sensitizing employees so as to get them to accept positively , the appraisal system as it assists in performance not punishing them.

 

Following the signing of the Contract MMU hopes to improves to improve its ranking in the public institutions as the contract is cascaded in every department and its employees.
