I welcome you to view the Website of Multimedia University of Kenya (MMU), a public university that is ranked No. 1 in ICT Excellence in 2012/2013, and is rapidly emerging as a centre of excellence in ICT, Multimedia, Engineering and Business studies.

MMU is currently riding the path of academic excellence and is set to play a pivotal role in catapulting Kenya into the information age in tune with vision 2030. Indeed Multimedia University has recently been ranked as the No. 1 Public University in Kenya in ICT excellence (usage and facilities). Further to this, MMU has made visible global footprints by seeking collaboration with reputable institutions and organizations, as well as significant leap in Performance Contract ranking. The climax of MMU grand march to excellence is the certification and accreditation by the Commission of University Education as having met the requirements to be a fully fledged University, culminating in the award of University Charter by His Excellency the President, Hon. Mwai Kibaki.

The granting of University Charter is a momentous occasion for Multimedia University of Kenya, and will be registered in our souls and minds as a point in time when men and women of this great institution came together and resolved to make a difference for the good of the country and upcoming citizens. I take this opportunity to most sincerely thank His Excellency the President Hon. Mwai Kibaki for his kind consideration in granting the charter. I also extend my deepest gratitude to all the staff and students of the University for their diligence, patience and discipline even as we all made huge sacrifices to ensure that the former college met the requirements for accreditation by the Commission for University Education. The award charter marks the commencement of a new chapter in the discourse of MMU. As we celebrate the award of charter and ranking as the top Public University in ICT excellence, let us remember that all this has been possible through the grace of the Almighty and Everlasting Father for “HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT”.
