KCSE mean grade of C+ and a minimum of C+ in English and Kiswahili or A-Level two principal passes and one subsidiary pass in the relevant subjects or relevant professional qualifications approved by the University Senate. Successful Diploma graduates with at least a CREDIT Pass will join in 2nd Year.
Graduates from this programme serve in advertising, radio/television broadcasting, journalism and public relations. In advertising the graduates may be employed as advertising or marketing specialists, copy writers, media planners, media space buyers, creative directors, and media sales representatives. In television broadcasting, the graduates can be employed as news analysts, creative directors, producers or editors. In journalism, the graduates can be employed as creative writers, editors or publishers. While in public relations, they can be employed as public relations specialists/managers or as corporate affairs managers.
