DSC 0532Welcome to the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (CIT), where there is a growing passion for Learning, Research and Innovation. The faculty runs four distinctive undergraduate programmes i.e BSc. In Information Technology, BSc in Computer Technology, BSc Software Engineering and BSc. Computer Science.


In response to customer demand we also run diploma programmes to cater for school leavers namely; Diploma in ICT, International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS), International Advanced Diploma in Computer  Studies (IADCS) to prepare them for advanced training in Computing.


These programmes are taught by qualified academic staff that is dynamic, experienced and highly committed to excellence.  The academic programs are     constantly reviewed to reflect the rapidly changing ICT Technologies. Through the dedicated efforts of the faculty community – staff and students, the Faculty has produced quality graduates who have achieved exceptional employment rate. It is also not uncommon to walk into any organization today and find our alumni.


The Faculty has embarked on becoming an international leader in Innovative Technology through Research and Innovation. To achieve this, the Faculty had taken measures to create a good environment and culture for undertaking consultancy research and innovation. To this end, four department of excellence have been created. The departments are; Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Technology and Software Engineering.


This publication has been prepared to provide you, our clients, a comprehensive idea of the courses; undergraduate and skill development levels. Finally, I hope that the learning experiences that you obtain from the Faculty and University will be one that you cherish dearly.
