Audio, sound recording and Hansard reporters from various County Assemblies in Kenya have converged at Multimedia University of Kenya for a two-week training aimed at equipping the officers with communication and production techniques in audio and sound management.

The training, that is conducted by Faculty of Media and Communication, targets audio officers who play critical role in recording, securing, archiving debates and other communication activities at the county level.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs, Research and Innovation Prof. Paul Mbatia said that the overall goal of the training is to equip County audio officers with practical skills and best practices that will enhance effective communication in the County Assemblies.

“This training should boost your capacity as audio officers by acquiring hands-on-skills to help you perform your duties effectively,” said Prof. Mbatia.
