Preparation on top gear for 5th graduation ceremony

Preparations for the 5th graduation ceremony are in top gear as the university is set to graduate over 1200 students in a ceremony that is scheduled for Friday, November 23rd, 2018, at the institution’s graduation square.

The occasion will also see the Faculty of Science and Technology graduate its first cohort of students in Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Applied Physics and Computer Science.
This year’s graduates have been drawn from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Business and Economics, Faculty of Media and Communication, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology and Faculty of Science and Technology.

According to a memo released by Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs Research and Innovation, all qualified candidates are requested to clear with the university prior to confirmation of inclusion of their names in the 2018 graduation list with their respective Faculty Deans.

“Only those students who have fully cleared with relevant sections will be able to apply for graduation which will be done through the MMU Student Portal,” reads the memo.

Students have also been advised to ensure their names are correctly spelt and is in the right order as they would like it to appear on the Certificate. Verification will be done through the respective Faculties during clearance by Friday, 9th November, 2018.
