Residents of Nairobi face multiple transport challenges that disrupt daily movement and affect safety ,comfort and efficiency .Traffic congestion is common during peak hours as the number of vehicles exceed road capacity, slowing movements for motorists ,pedestrians and public service vehicles . Matatus and buses are often overcrowded with passengers with passengers forced to squeeze inside or board already full vehicles while conductors aggressively call for more commuters. Many roads are poorly maintained with potholes ,muddy sections and narrow pavements making movement risky especially pedestrians . Additionally the lack of designated stops ,poor lighting at stages and excessive noise from hooking and loud music further worsen commuting conditions. Rising fares and limited transport options place additional financial and time burdens on residents highlighting the urgent need for better planning infrastructure and regulation in the area.
