These practices contribute to blocked drainage channels, unpleasant odors, and the pollution of soil and water sources. In addition, plastic waste poses a serious threat to human health and wildlife, as it takes many years to decompose. Without effective waste management systems, public awareness, and community participation, plastic pollution in Buruburu is likely to continue worsening. Urgent action is needed to promote recycling, responsible disposal, and environmental education to improve the quality of life and protect the environment.

However, the project also highlights the efforts of local waste collectors and community members who try to keep the area clean. This shows that with cooperation, awareness, and support from both residents and authorities, Buruburu can become a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable place for everyone.
