MMU VC: Happy and inspiring International Women’s Day 2026

Dear Members of Multimedia University of Kenya Community and Our Esteemed Stakeholders,

Today, 8 March 2026, we join the global community in commemorating International Women’s Day — a moment to celebrate the achievements, resilience, and leadership of women and girls, while reaffirming our shared commitment to gender equality and inclusive development.

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” reminds us that meaningful progress in society comes when institutions and individuals intentionally invest in the empowerment, safety, education, and leadership of women. When women thrive, communities flourish, institutions grow stronger, and nations advance.

At MMU, we are proud of the remarkable contributions of women across our university — from academic leadership and research to administration, innovation, and student leadership. Their dedication continues to shape our institution’s vision of excellence in education, research, and service to society.

As a university community, we remain committed to nurturing an environment where women and girls are empowered to pursue knowledge, lead with confidence, and contribute meaningfully to national and global development. We shall continue to support policies, partnerships, and opportunities that ensure equality, dignity, and safety for all.

On this important day, let us celebrate the women who inspire us, support the girls who will lead tomorrow, and renew our commitment to building a more inclusive, equitable, and empowered future for all.

I wish all women and girls a happy and inspiring International Women’s Day 2026.
