Multimedia University of Kenya (MMU) has signed a new ERASMUS+ research mobility partnership with the University of Life Sciences in Romania, opening opportunities for 24 postgraduate students from various faculties within the university to undertake a fully sponsored seven-month research exchange in Europe.
According to MMU Director of Research and Innovation who is also the ERASMUS+ Coordinator Dr. David Wekesa, the new partnership is a major milestone in the university’s commitment to advancing research collaboration and strengthening international academic linkages.
“The partnership marks a significant step in MMU’s efforts to expand international research collaboration, strengthen postgraduate training and provide students with opportunities to gain research experience in European institutions,” said Dr. Wekesa.
The new programme adds to MMU’s ongoing ERASMUS+ collaboration with the University of Linz in Austria.
Currently, Master of Science in Renewable Energy and Technology postgraduate students from Faculty of Science and Technology – Department of Physics are undertaking research mobility at the Austrian university.
Dr. Wekesa said that the ERASMUS+ project has so far supported more than 11 students from the Department of Physics, enabling them to participate in international research and academic exchange.
