KCSE mean grade of C+ and a minimum of C+ in English and Kiswahili or A-Level Two principal passes and One subsidiary pass in Relevant subjects or relevant professional qualifications approved by the University Senate. Successful Diploma graduates with at least a CREDIT Pass will join in 2nd Year
This programme is the only one of its kind in Kenya. It responds to the ever changing, dynamic and converging media environment. It is inspired by the UNESCO Model Curricula for Journalism Education of 2007 and is also informed by the Media Council of Kenya’s efforts at promoting ethical journalism. Graduates of this programme will work across various media platforms in both small and large organizations.
The programme has two areas of specialization:
• Print Media
• Broadcast Media
