Professional Bio:
Dr. Edward O. V. Odhong is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer, academic, and researcher currently serving as the Chairperson of the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at Multimedia University of Kenya. He has experience in engineering education, curriculum development, applied mechanical systems, and engineering consultancy.

Dr. Odhong’s academic and research interests focus on materials engineering, composite materials, material behavior, recycling technologies, mechanical strength analysis, and engineering materials characterization. His work explores sustainable engineering materials and composite technologies, including plant-fibre reinforced polymer composites and materials recovery systems.

He has also contributed to postgraduate supervision, engineering research, and curriculum development in mechanical engineering and related fields.

1. Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering – Technical University of Kenya (2019)
   Thesis: Mechanical Behaviour of Healed Rice Husks Fibre Reinforced Polypropylene Composites.
2. Master of Philosophy (Production Engineering and Manufacturing Technology) – Moi University (2011)
3. Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical and Production Engineering) – Moi University (2007)
4. Diploma in Automotive Engineering – Kenya Polytechnic / Technical University of Kenya (1991)
