Professional Bio:
Dr. Mary Mugo is a distinguished Consultant, Author, and Senior Lecturer in Business Administration with extensive experience in strategy, governance, leadership, and organizational development. She combines strong academic credentials with senior management experience in both the public and private sectors in Kenya, as well as with multinational organizations.
Dr. Mugo has held key leadership positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Multimedia University of Kenya (2016–2021) and Chairperson of the Department of Marketing & Management (2011–2015). She is currently a Senior Lecturer at Multimedia University of Kenya, where she was recognized as Employee of the Year (Teaching Staff) in 2017. She was also named Best Final-Year Student in Business Administration and Best Final-Year Student in Marketing at the University of Nairobi.
She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from Kabarak University, a Master of Business Administration (Strategic Management) from United States International University (USIU) with a GPA of 3.7, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) with First Class Honors from the University of Nairobi.
Dr. Mugo’s expertise spans strategic planning, strategic leadership, governance, team development, marketing, organizational transformation, conference speaking, and school transformative talks. She has consulted for numerous prestigious organizations, including Neptune Software Ltd, Computer Revolution Africa Group Limited, Nation Media Group, Kenya School of Government, KIPPRA, Wilmar Flowers, Clinical Officers Council, Nursing Council of Kenya, and many others. She has served as a BDS expert for the NYOTA program. She is an accomplished author of six books and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
