Professional Bio
Mr. Jackson Mutua is a dedicated Lecturer in the Department of Finance and Accounting at Multimedia University of Kenya, where he has been teaching since February 2011. He previously served as an accounting lecturer at the Cooperative University of Kenya from 2008 to 2011. His areas of expertise include financial reporting, intermediate accounting, auditing and assurance, management accounting, financial statement analysis, operations research, and public finance and taxation. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, where he also earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). He holds an MBA. Beyond academia, Mr. Mutua is a trained trade unionist and a strong advocate for decent working conditions and labor rights. He completed the prestigious Future Young Leaders training program offered by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES). He is a highly regarded trainer and consultant within the East African region.
