Professional Bio:
Munyao Kitavi is an experienced Physics educator and academic with extensive teaching experience spanning secondary, post-secondary, and university education. He currently serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics, where he contributes to teaching, research, and mentorship in the physical sciences.
Mr. Kitavi has over seventeen (17) years of university-level teaching experience, complemented by five (5) years of teaching at Technical Training Institute level and ten (10) years of teaching Mathematics and Physics in secondary education. His broad educational background has enabled him to develop strong pedagogical, technical, and mentorship skills across diverse learning environments.
His areas of specialization include Semiconductor Physics, Electronics, and Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Technology. He is particularly interested in the advancement of renewable energy technologies and research on photovoltaic systems, including PV module encapsulant degradation and sustainable energy applications.
In addition to teaching and research, Mr. Kitavi has participated in educational and technical consultancies, contributing his expertise in both education and Solar PV technology.
