Professional Bio:

Prof. Abel Nyakundi Mayaka is a Mechanical Engineer by profession and a Professor of Manufacturing Engineering. He earned his PhD in 1993 at the age of 28 and immediately began his academic career at Moi University as a Lecturer, marking the start of over 28 years of distinguished teaching experience at the university level.

During his 17-year tenure at Moi University, Prof. Mayaka rose through the academic and administrative ranks, serving as a Lecturer, Head of Department, and later as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. In recognition of his exemplary leadership, he received an award from the then Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mibei.

In 2011, he joined Multimedia University, where he continues to contribute to academia through teaching, research, and mentorship in the field of manufacturing engineering.
